Mera Peak is an exciting, scenically stunning mountain which is at the height of 6,461 meters (21,190 ft.). It lies on the edge of the famous Khumbu Region Mera Peak is very popular among the trekkers and climbers as it is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and its summit panorama takes in five of the world’s 8000 meters peaks - Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Everest.

This ultimate Himalayan climbing begins with a short and exciting flight to Phaplu in Solu Khumbu. The trekking begins through the terraced landscape of Nepal foothills, passing through small villages and settlement inhabited by the Sherpas. The walking trip would be marching through the Hinku and Hongu valleys which have remained uninhabited. It also includes beautiful forest and incredible mountains along the way. It is the best option for adventure seekers. After reaching at the majestic Mera Peak, you find yourself looking down and towards great many magnificent natural landscapes. There will be the direct view of the southern face of Everest from this point of your trek.

The Peak is physically very demanding on account of the altitude but the climbing on Mera Peak is not technically difficult. It has ascending snow slops that rarely exceed 30 degrees, with normally one short steeper section where the trekkers is safeguarded by the fixed lines. The overall view from the mountain’s upper slopes, the sunrise on Everest and Kangchenjunga is truly unforgettable. Although Mera Peak is very high, the climbing is straightforward. The return trek is by a different route, crossing through the Zatwra La pass to the airstrip of Lukla where we can fly back to Kathmandu.
